Why Teslas specifically
A different car, a different checklist
There are more Teslas per block in Los Angeles than almost anywhere on earth, and they come with their own film checklist. The glass roof is beautiful and turns the cabin into a greenhouse by July. The paint is widely regarded among installers as softer than most, so front bumpers and hoods collect chips early. And the car is covered in cameras and sensors that a careless installer can obstruct.
We treat each of those as a known quantity. Roof and window film is metal-free ceramic, so heat rejection comes without any effect on connectivity or driver-assist cameras. The one-piece rear glass on Model 3 and Y, the piece where budget installs go wrong, gets fitted patiently as a single sheet. And delivery-day PPF on the front end is our most common Tesla job for a reason: it costs far less than the respray it prevents.
Everything is cut by plotter from patterns matched to your exact model and year. No blades on your glass, no trimming against your paint, and nothing installed over a camera housing, ever.

Tesla FAQ
What Tesla owners ask us
Not when it's installed by people who know the car. The ceramic films we use contain no metal, so they don't block signals the way older metallic films could, and we work around camera housings and sensor zones rather than over them. Your cameras, GPS, Bluetooth, and phone key all work exactly as they did before.
Yes, and it's one of the most popular requests we get. Tesla's roof glass filters some heat from the factory, but owners in the Valley know the cabin still cooks in summer. A ceramic film on the roof panel cuts the infrared load noticeably, and rear-cabin passengers feel the difference most.
It's one of the harder pieces of glass in the industry: large, steep, and curved in two directions. It's also where inexperienced shops leave creases and contamination. We shrink and fit the film patiently as a single piece, and it's exactly the kind of glass where paying for skilled installation shows.
Two reasons. Tesla paint has a reputation among installers for being on the softer, thinner side, so front ends show rock chips and road rash sooner than many brands. And the cars hold value well, which makes protecting the finish an easy financial call. Full-front PPF on delivery day is the most common package we do on Teslas.
Indirectly, yes. Heat rejection means the climate system works less to cool the cabin, and on an EV every watt the AC doesn't draw stays in the battery. Nobody should buy tint expecting miracle range gains, but a cooler cabin that needs less air conditioning is a real, measurable efficiency win, especially in a Valley summer.
Window film and PPF are non-invasive and removable. Nothing is drilled, painted, or permanently altered, and the films we install are designed to come off factory glass and paint cleanly. Millions of Teslas run tint and PPF; it's among the most common upgrades owners make right after delivery.
