The business case

Glass is where buildings lose money

Walk any office in the Valley on a summer afternoon and you can map the windows by where people don’t sit. Blinds drawn against glare, desks abandoned near the west glass, the HVAC fighting a losing battle against solar gain the thermostat can’t see. That discomfort is a cost, in energy, in usable floor space, and in the productivity of anyone squinting at a screen through window glare.

Solar film addresses it at the source. Heat is rejected at the glass line, hot zones even out, blinds open back up, and cooling systems stop working overtime. Because film treats the whole pane, the fix covers every hour of sun for the next decade, not just the hours facilities staff remember to adjust the shades.

For storefronts, the conversation is usually security. Safety film laminates the inside of the glass so that when a window is struck, the pane fractures but stays sheeted in its frame. A smash-and-grab that should take seconds turns into a loud, slow fight with a curtain of held-together glass, and most don’t stick around for it.
